The Heatmiser Wireless Window/Door Contact Sensor is specifically designed to enhance the efficiency and control of your heating system. With its advanced functionality, it seamlessly integrates with your heating setup to switch the system to standby mode whenever a window or door is opened, effectively conserving energy and optimizing comfort.

• Standby Activation: When a window or door is opened, the Wireless Window/Door Contact Sensor detects the change and triggers the heating system to switch to standby mode. This ensures that no energy is wasted on heating unoccupied areas and minimizes heat loss.
• Zonal Control: With multiple zone heating control systems, the contact sensor can effectively shut off the radiators or underfloor heating in individual rooms. This allows for precise temperature regulation and energy management on a room-by-room basis.
• Centralized System Control: Multiple 'Wireless Window/Door Contact Sensors' can be paired with homes that have just a single thermostat. In such cases, whichever sensor breaks its contact, the entire system will switch to standby mode. Only when all contacts are closed will the heating resume, ensuring energy efficiency throughout the property.
• Compatibility: The Wireless Window/Door Contact Sensor is fully compatible with the Edge Thermostat Series, providing seamless integration with your existing Heatmiser heating system. It allows for automatic heating shutdown whenever a window or door is opened, offering convenience and energy savings.
• Expandable Capacity: The system supports up to 16 Contact Sensors to be paired with a single Edge Thermostat*, enabling comprehensive zonal control and maximizing the efficiency of your heating system.

The Heatmiser Window/Door Contact Sensor provides a practical and intelligent solution for managing your heating system. With its ability to detect window and door openings and adjust the heating accordingly, it offers both energy savings and enhanced comfort for your home.

This Sensor is designed to be surface mounted.

• To release the battery cover, push down and slide in the direction of the arrow.
• Remove the plastic tab between the battery and the contacts, then return the battery cover until it clicks into place.
• Peel back the film from the adhesive pads on both the 'Contact Sensor' and the 'Magnetic Strip'.
• Attach the 'Contact Sensor' to the framework and the 'Magnetic strip' to the window/door, making sure that the 'Magnet' is positioned on the opposite side of the 'Pairing Button' and no more than 5mm apart.

The recommended maximum distance between the 'Window/Door Wireless Contact Sensor' and the Heatmiser compatible receiver is 40 meters.
